FIELDTRIP OVERVIEW

During the time I heard this subject about fieldtrip I feel like this could be the most expensive subject that I am taking about and this could be my problem because were can I get a money for this event. So far me and my classmates are planning already what should we do and asking each other if we really continue to get this subject from this semester and as what we have thought that this subject is the same from the elementary field trip we thought that we are only going there for hanging out but we discovered that we need this subject to discover and learned. But as what we have stated field trip could be the best moment that you have in college because you can enjoy this event from this subject and so far I had view already that I will take this subject whatever it takes… I would take risk for this subject perhaps this subject is required for us to take because we can’t be proceed as a fourth year without taking this subject so as early as the days before I am taking this subject I already told my mother about this subject and my mom just tell me with a smile ok ii will support your needs for that subject as long as I am making my best to get good grades. That was the great thing that I have heard because I can join the FTS subject. I have jump because of joy that I felt for that time so when the class starts I don’t understand what should I feel if I would be excited or getting nervous for the upcoming fieldtrip and as what I have seen sir randy gamboa is our professor for this subject so I already thinking that this subject could be the most hardest because I know sir could really want the student work for his pressure lectures just to prove that they are right person to pass this subject and for the very first day is my unfortunate day because I’ve been punish for being late in the class so I need to dance in front of my classmates. Will I feel ashamed but what can I do? It’s a task for the late person like me dancing the unknown dance step that is not yet discovered by the researchers.

When the days is already passing by were already discussing the payments the events what we will do for this subject and some of my classmates face were terribly shock from the fees that need to paid for this subject and until we came from the interpersonal skills to this event I feel enjoy also because it my first time to join the team building event I meet new friends although I seen them for a long time but we did to recognize each other because of this event and we need also the team work and accept there weaknesses and also the way they act to there selves because you will getting lose if you are thinking for that so I have made them get closer friend of mine for just one day because I am a hard loser person don’t accept failures but unfortunately the result is tie for all of us and nothing I do but to accept the final decision well the days of our lives passing by again until we reach on the days of the final meeting that telling us the money need to be paid for one student and it is just only fifteen thousand pesos with saying to your self the Oh my holy cow were can I find that money? Well that simple question just have the simple answer, to your mother of course well I paid it already as early as I can so no more problems to think already as long as I already paid that fees of mine. During were already in the manila we had been enjoyed so much because we feel like we are the son daughters of the rich family the way we experienced her and so far we enjoy it a lot the place we had been stayed to relax the food that we ate and So when the time I came from the day for the field trip day we already experience as what I have stated on the next pages for having the company visit and other experiences and actually this is only the first time that I had been experienced like this because we feel the freedom although we miss our family but we can learn her to stand alone and learn more of how broad is the IT industry from this city and how useful could be our course that we are taking for and we had been enlightened by some speakers specially to UP that whatever you had the bad grades you has. You can still beh a good IT by using you skills wisely and choose the things that you are really love the most.

DAY 1

Bayantel , SFDM, QC
What I learned?

Well as what I have learned is that bayantel is a telecom company which is they are developing the telephones or any other network gadgets which barely need to use for us people to communicate for our love ones we could see that they need the engineering employees for their company to work. Bayantel is just also the one of the telecommunication companies from this country and they are only serving the chosen side of the country because they are making their business on competition with other telecommunication companies. Bayan Telecommunications is keeping up with all of these changes. For every step, and every stumble, in the lives of the Filipinos, we rush to keep in stride. What I liked?

I like the way they accept our invitation to accept our company visit and also I’m sitting on the center chair which is I look like the CEO from company. I like the one they share there visual information about from their company

What I didn’t like?

What should I don’t like? Am maybe when the time I have questioned about him from the reporter that

What is there advantage from the other company? He answered but I’m not satisfied for it. And also the speaker doesn’t know for there system.

DAY 2

Today, I went on a company visit to

UP, Diliman, QC.

Ayala Techno Hub, Commonwealth, QC.

What I learned?

Well to UP Diliman I have learned there subjects and some professor and speaker share there knowledge about coding designing and most of all is we should really need to know and master the C++ language in programming because this the most difficult this could be the start of you to become the great programmer. I have learned so much the Maya application. Which is more interesting for me? Autodesk Maya is a software application used for 3D animation, 3D modeling, simulation, visual effects, rendering, match moving, and compositing. It is developed in Toronto by Autodesk's Media and Entertainment Division (formerly Alias). Maya is used in the film and TV industry, as well as for computer and video games, architectural visualization and design.

For the AYALA, Techno Hub, I was amazed from this building and the only thing that we learn is we visit one of the building there that they are creating cables which is automated sky cable already because you can control the movie that you are watching for and when the time we visit the IBM company I have learned that IBM is not selling the PC already. They already sold it from the Lenovo and they are already selling the new Idea which is the OS or any systems and also they are the one who can sponsor for on developer from their project they are the to help there financial needs and spot there talents from IT industry. Nestled on the former raw land across the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman campus is the UP-Ayala Land Technohub, which is a mere 600 meters from the Quezon Memorial Circle landmark and is a stone’s throw away from the Iglesia ni Cristo main temple.

Property giant Ayala Land leased the land from UP and converted it into an Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) hub. Opened in late 2008, the major business locators include IBM and HSBC Electronic Data Processing, among others.

What I liked ?

I like the most is my learning’s from this day there achievements. And also there are students who are willing ti share there thesis they are not hesitated to share there ideas and what they have created. I liked also those speakers because I had been learn specially 3D animation which is we can create it from the MAYA application.

What I didn’t like?

I don’t energy to stay cool and listen some speakers during the conference because its my first time to fell like lock of sleep and most of my school mates having nap during the seminar because there are some boring speakers’ which is his topic is not that so interesting from us.

DAY 3

Today, I went on a company visit to

Advance Science and Technology Institute C.P.garcia, UP diliman,Q.C.

Social Security System , East Ave. Q.C.

What I learned?

I have learned that this company is creating some gadgets like the and also the bayanihan operating system which is more interesting because it is a group of Filipino who create this OS and I have learned how to use the bayanihan operating system. The BL team was present in the event to promote the use of Bayanihan Linux, which utilizes free and open source software completely in its system. Information dissemination about Bayanihan Linux and other ASTI projects were done by giving away brochures and Bayanihan installers. The team members gave technical support to interested participants and BL merchandise were also sold during the event. Moreover, Mr. Bayani Benjamin Lara from ASTI discussed IPv6 in Open Source Software as part of the program.

For the SSS I have learned there system and also the way how we could apply the SSS and I have learned also that we need to become employee first before you can apply the SSS so you can be stable to pay there bills.

What I liked ?

I like the most the speaker of bayanihan OS because she was so lovely and intelligent and we found out the first girl speaker is from davao which is she graduated at UIC well I see to my self that someday I can be like them and I can work with them someday
What I didn’t like?

The things that I don’t like is we don’t have enough time to shop some souvenirs from UP because again lock of time and we got rattle for buying items there and which is I did no able find the t-shirt that I wanted for.

DAY 4

Today, I went on a company visit to

PLDT, Mandaluyong City
What I learned?

I had learned that PLDT was the oldest telecommunication company from the Philippines I figured out that PLDT is used during World War II and as what they had show the history from us PLDT is running higher and higher level that makes and but when the time they made the automated system they been running low because of they also deducted the employees that they had because they already the machines which is they don’t need more employees. They have there own satellite to get signal to use for communication. I also find out they are using the CISCO networking.

What I liked ?

I like there facility there companies and also there speakers that guide us they are intelligent they had shared the history of PLDT they had shared there systems. And also they are hiring especially IT professionals and they are willing to take OJT from us.

What I didn’t like?

It is the bad time because were already hungry and it is already lunch time. And my stomach really asking for food already but unfortunately they dismissed us so late no more strength to listen to them and also we cannot catch up already what is he telling about already.

DAY 5

Today, I went on a company visit to

Telecoms Training Institute, Valenzuela

MMDA(traffic engineering), mandaluyong

What I learned?

To this company they creating gadgets for communications they shown there gadgets and I had seen there the cable which is it can travel information so fast using on it.

In MMDA we learned for there traffic rules we had seen how automated is there traffic system in manila they had shown to us the reason of accidents because of not following rules they also share to us that MMDA is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines created embracing the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros. Metropolitan Manila or the National Capital Region is constituted into a special development and administrative region subject to direct supervision of the President of the Philippines. The MMDA office is located at Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) corner Orense Street, Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati, Philippines. The MMDA performs planning, monitoring and coordinative functions, and in the process exercise regulatory and supervisory authority over the delivery of metro-wide services within Metro Manila without diminution of the autonomy of the local government units concerning purely local matters. The agency is headed by a Chairman, who is appointed by the President and continues to hold office at the discretion of the appointing authority. He is vested with the rank, rights, privileges, disqualifications, and prohibitions of a cabinet member. The Chairman is assisted by a General Manager, an Assistant General Manager for Finance and Administration, an Assistant General Manager for Planning and Assistant General Manager for Operation, all of whom are appointed by the President with the consent and concurrence of the majority of the Council, subject to civil service laws, rules and regulations. What I liked?

it is another day to learn for us and we did to enjoy watch there gadgets when the time they show it to us. And to MMDA I like to them is the way they monitor traffic in manila transportation and also the I liked there system of traffic they are used and they can easily traced up the drivers that violated from the traffic rules and also they can easil trace up the accidents from the streets.
What I didn’t like?

It is already boring day for us because it is the last day and we wanted to go home already because we miss our homes and we feel tired already for a week fieldtrip with lock of sleep always.

What can I recommend for the improvement of the Fieldtrip and Seminar Program?

As what I had experienced well during the time im on the bus 3 we have the talkative tour guide who have great knowledge about manila and every place we came and there history but when I had been shift on bus two I face the boring tour guide and I am always sleeping already and also the time management because that also destroys our plan because there are some schedule already that we can’t make because there is no enough time and lastly we need the right time to sleep because we felt like we don’t have strength to stand alone because of lock of sleep and for me its not enough.

My advice to those who will take their Fieldtrip and Seminar program in the near future

The only thing that I can advice to them is enjoy for every moment that you are having this subject and also they should really have to taking notes because it is so hard time to recall as what you have learned from each company that you are visited and if I were you maybe you should start creating your money bank because if you don’t have money? Well you can’t take this subject and if your money is just enough for you to join this subject? You cannot enjoy shopping for every mall that you well be visit for. So take time to think and make the final decision because if you cant decision as early as you can it can cause the paranoid situation for the officers for this subject and also you will be the one can destroy the plan and also it can destroy the day of our great professor for this project because you are creating problem to him/her. So ask you parents as early as you can if they can afford this subject.

During the time im wathchin the movie titled “pirates of the silicon valley” on lab 1 during the class of sir Randy. At first I never thought for what happen on the Apple and Microsoft Company for how they have started from down to top. I was amazed on Steve Jobs of what personality that he have. Because he was so really weird type of a person but despite of his form he made the impossible things with his partner and also a great friend for him named Steve Wozniak to create the thing that make him successful that he is and that is the personal computer. The set first on theory then they make it on actual and then the result was a computer. They create and sell those things on Jobs garage until this was make it as a company. They called it as Apple Company. Although they succeeded very fast but they are also until they make it that Steve Jobs as the richest in the world and make him so famous in every part of the world. Steve Jobs was a college dropout when he teamed up with Steve Wozniak in 1976 to sell personal computers assembled in Jobs' garage. That was the beginning of Apple Computers, which revolutionized the computing industry and made Jobs a multimillionaire before he was 30 years old. He was forced out of the company in 1985 and started the NeXT Corporation, but returned to his old company in 1996 when Apple bought NeXT. Jobs soon became Apple's chief executive officer and sparked a resurgence in the company with products like the colorful iMac computer and the iPod music player. Jobs is also the CEO of Pixar, the animation company responsible for movies like Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. Pixar was purchased by the Walt Disney Company in 2006 for $7.4 billion in stock; the deal made Jobs the largest individual shareholder of Disney stock. The one who make him success is he knows to take the risk although he don’t know what would be probably happen in the future if he failed he would accept the fact but it succeed during he make those things in great way of Technopreneurship. This is the reason the people around the world was so amazed for what he have done in his life. He is also sometimes a strict in term from his employee that were maybe also the reason to make his Company at the top because maybe the way of he lead his workers to make them work in plane not on a rusty way. As an IT student I know Apple products are very great device as the person to use it in comfortably way. The factor that make contributed to me for Steve Jobs success is to study your product if this will fit for the environment that you are living if this would be useful for the people that surrounds you and that would be a the reason that your product will be the best thing to buy for the people for example for that is your living on the area which is so cold and by that reason your selling jackets and people need those to wear to fit there suit on the climate of this area and by that your supply will be in demand for the people and you can already sell those for a high price because you don’t have the competent to sell those products if you have then you make a it better that is more comfortable for the people than to the enemy that are selling those same of your products and this I can compare as what happened on Steve Jobs products he made to sell those because people around the world need to use those computer. A computer that is easy to use and high quality that the reason that why apple is in demand to the people not just on his country but also around the world.

Failure:

During the time im watching the movie I know already that life is not always at the top there is also be a trials but sometimes this will make you down if you never make it fix by your own way. Steve Jobs attitude is really the one that it is the main problem for his employees and even to his best friend Steve Wozniak were also hate him on the middle of his works. Steve Wozniak makes him leave alone to handle the company even though he is also the one why Apple is on the top from the other company. He didn't even claim his wife and his daughter to be his family. And what's even worst is that he give bad mouths to other people he sees especially when someone is applying to his company but in some other way, there is no perfect apple as it fights "time". One side my rotten quickly, hence, Steve attitudes turned badly wrong. He mistaken the most important thing in business, to take good care to your employees for this are the one who helps and merely destroy your company. And also he made the mistake to trust some people when Bill Gates the current chairman of Microsoft Company comes and make his company in upside-down and now the Microsoft is already owns the Apple already to this present day. Bill Gates is also like him that is having thirst on success and wants to become at the top too. Bill Gates is wise person he make already a plan already that he will make Steve Jobs closer so it is easy for him to let him down. The thing that is contributed to me the failures of Steve Jobs from the movie is you should also have the good attitude you should also be wise to choose the person for who should be trust.

2. How do you see yourself as a technopreneur?

For now I’m currently thinking on my self what will am I in future? Im still on the process to become a computer specialist try to make my self to get more information in technology to learn more about of it and how can I gain money by this way of business. I was enlightened when the time I saw the movie of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates story, it makes me the reason that I can be not just be an employee but I can also be the boss the way of Technopreneurship. Technopreneurship is not a product but a process of synthesis in engineering the future of a person, an organization, a nation and the world. In a digital, knowledge based society, strategic directions or decision-making processes will be demanding and complex. This requires tertiary level and professional development programs and training to produce strategic thinkers who will have the skills to succeed in a dynamically changing global environment. Traditional educational programs, however, lack the methodology to transform today's students into creative, innovative, visionary global leaders who understand the importance of Technopreneurship. We can’t tell for who I am in future maybe my skills will be useful and I can create software or hardware that I can able to sell those things and maybe I can be able to follow the Bill Gates path of how make is life like on this present day as the richest. And for now I am already planning to create a technology that is something unique, for the people a new thing which is this will be the new phenomenon for the people to use for those things but that is only in plan for now. If I would be the Technopreneur I can see my self as a boss not only an employee for a company. If can create company like Steve and Bill, well I can assure my self that I can also be at the top. Being technopreneur is also needed to have more information about technology because this is basing a new device to sell and this can be also be a great business way for us to perform. Being a technopreneur as what Randy said to us that you don’t need to become the intelligent from the class to become a good business man you only need is you’re a wise person to handle the business you’re taking for. That words that he speak from us makes enlightened me also because before I’m always look down to my self that im not smart from the class I always failed but there still way to become a successful person is to use your skills not only your knowledge from the class can make you live because when you already know you skills and use it wisely you can lived for it. Were also talking there for leadership, because to be a good technopreneur is you should be a good leader that would be the key for you to make your company to in consistent status if you have the skillful employee to create your products from technology to your company well that will be the great purpose so why you can be a successful businessman and I’m dreaming on it. This would probably fact that why you should go for Technopreneurship for this simple question, Can I really earn from technology? People think nowadays about their future. They think seriously, of course life is not a joke. But sometimes people don't know how to do it. Well in fact the things they need is just around them. The keep on looking for money and they are looking for it badly. Sadly, they don't really know about earning through technology. Technopreneurship, sounds weird right? But that is how it's called. Technopreneurship is the key to earn money through technology. The word came from 2 different words. First, technology, and next is entrepreneurship, where it means business. People are really struggling for survival but they don't know that the stuffs that could save them from annihilation and broke is just beside them. Yes just beside them, they only need a computer and an internet connection. That's how amazing it is. And worst of it lots of people don't see this stuff and have no plan for their future. So could this be? Ok, first thing's first, There are lots of offers in the internet, ranging from advertising to affiliate business to freelance writing and now how could you say it's impossible to do. Well, it's up with you, as many wise people say, "whether you think you can or you think you cannot, either way you're right." There are really lots of stuffs in the web that you could earn from. Or you would use anything that is a masterpiece of technology. Being Technopreneur is really the things people consider now. Especially these times that we have job inflation rate and based on statistics, here in Philippines, we have 13,000,000 people jobless. Yes, but sad to say, it is the reality. Being a Technoprenuer really helps this kind of situation. Why? Because when you start a business, you could hire your fellowmen as your employees and you can give job to them. So you help yourself to have a financial freedom and at the same time, you help other people. Now, do we really need to become a Technopreneur? It is your choice. Well as of now I really do earn with this. Hope you do it to and start to have you financial freedom. As what I have learned from technopreneurship this probably the big help for me to have the stable life as what the most of the people really wanted for. This would probably the way for us to escape from the financial crisis because most of us already experience those things and making for alternative way that would be the technopreneur is also the best thing to choose for us to earned money for it. As I can see my self as a technopreneur that probably still the mystery because I’m not like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs who are the college drop outs and not the same as intelligent as they are. Maybe I can do those things as technopreneur in different way. ^_^

3. Would you take the same career path that Steve Jobs took? Why or why not?

If I’m on the same situation of Steve Jobs for sure I will do the same as what he did but for now were the only a student that are studying as what they have done on today’s technology. Maybe we can be there successor or not. I will not take the same career path of Steve Jobs because Steve’s career is not good for me when the way he leads his employee and the way he treat his wife and to his daughter that was really dirty living for my part. Although it is bad for the company that you have the employee never been finish there work but still it is not good to treat them not like humans if you really want those employee that never sleeps why don’t you hire the robots which is no feeling and never sleeps I don’t really like the lifestyle of Steve Jobs especially when he reject his own daughter which is the big sin for us. I will do other ways because it is impossible for me to follow his path because we are in a new generations of IT people maybe we can do our career better than Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs only once he became the richest in the world but still its not enough for me to convince my self to follow his path because the number one fact of that is I’m not him and I am for who I am so I will deal the career which is fit for me to create those things. Technopreneurship is the only key for the people like as to earn money and this already proven by this two big company Apple and Microsoft that we can really gain the money to technology but its up to you if how you could handle the company and how you can lead your employee o work from you. There are also still another way to gain money trough technopreneur whatever your alone and don’t have company and employees that are working for you. You can create system or games or any other software designs that you can sell it to the others. It only needs effort and time to create systems or website design then you could sell those already by chatting or promoting those from the other sites. I could not afford to follow the path of Steve Jobs because into his career it is impossible for me to obtain the same advance technology gadgets were Steve Jobs using on it to create products from the Apple. I can be a technopreneur on simple way by developing programs or systems which is nowadays many of the buildings which is already a computerized from there security and to serve the costumers and a lot of the businessman holding already a laptops which is I can also create for how they can do there work easily and comfortably way. If the only thing I have the talent and skills like Bill Gates I will really follow his steps and applying those in a wise way and never be down just like Steve Jobs he made it successfully on first but in the end he was down because of failures of making his role as the leader for his company he don’t know how to look back if were he had been started and forgetting the people that which is on her side when he is just starting to made his career but those people also make him down. Despite of problems that he had he always put his anger from his workers and sometimes the workers were already thinking for him if how they can make him down. It doesn’t matter that he become once at the top I don’t like his perception in career and I don’t like his innovation of his career and for him always be having the hunger of success always he wants his life is perfect and the way he insult the people who are applying his company because we don’t know that person is skillful not just kicking his ass because he don’t know to answer from his stupid questions. He takes the business from technology for sometimes not in a good way he made to pirate some software’s. I always look for positive visions of my skill that I know I can go for my dream someday that I could be a developer of the music industries or etc. I term of technology like Steve Jobs I have also the charisma so sell my products someday and I could be a globally competitive with my enhanced skills but that is just an imagination for now because I need more learning’s and deep information of what is technopreneurship but someday I can motivate my self that I could be a technopreneur. I don’t want to be failed from my works in building my successful life I want to make it as hardest as rock which is not easily to be distract by the some trials and failures in life. Although life is like a wheel which is you can be at the top or you be either be down. I can work with my employees and I can also work my self. Choosing the career path is not just only a joke because you life and future depends from your decision which is you choose it wisely and think it for many times before you committed those thing that you already chosen it reflect from you and your family as what Steve Jobs did he made the business like a religion but when the time that he was been down he was been placed on embarrassment of life and having regrets from his mistakes. So my decision is final and will not do the same career path of Steve Jobs. I can create my own path it depends from the result of taking the risk if will be failed make the alternative way and if it is successful it will be good I can make my life there and continue my career for this which is I succeed and making my dreams come true.
